Why this is relevant:

Permanently trusted parties will always become corrupt. Any system that has a permanently trusted party therefore will become corrupt. This is why centralized systems always become corrupt.

You get the same behavior if you have a cycle in a network of trust. This is why "web of trust" systems are just as bad as centralized systems.

If you've got security cameras, you're a fool if you don't keep the files in a NAS you exclusively control.

@admin The point is you need a lot of expertise and time to create your own security ring. But things are moving fast, so I expect it will be easy soon. Home Assistant is a good solution, but there is not a bundle for tech-rookies.  People need an in-home, easy to deploy, cheap and open source solution.
